Marriage Matters: Exposed

Marriage Matters- Exposed

Sometimes I feel like a bit of an over-sharer. You know, like yesterday when I posted super-awkward selfies in an effort to choose which glasses I should keep.

Of course, this little cutie had to join in, too!

But I digress. The point is, I can be an over-sharer. My husband, who is not a sharer, really, sort of gets dragged into being a sharer by default around here. I appreciate that. He knows writing is good for me–for my heart and mind. So I write. And share. And he supports me in every way. I balance sharing and not sharing, but mostly I write (and if you happen to see me in person, I talk).

That’s one of my favorite parts of marriage–balancing. We balance each other out quite well. He’s mac to my cheese. We work perfectly together; a God-ordained fit!

Are you a sharer?
(Also, which glasses would you pick?)

I’m writing Marriage Matters as part of the #write31days challenge. Are you in? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to check your posts out!

  1. I am a sharer. and I am one who shares the really raw and gritty stuff. Like when it's not great — not to focus on the bad. I don't think that is helpful but to be real. Life is not always bright and shiny. Marriage isn't always wonderful. Parenting has its challenges.

My husband and I will celebrate 29 years of marriage next month. ( We got married when we were 21) Seven years ago, when we had been together for over twenty years, we hit the hardest year. I didn't think we would make it through. I recently read journal entries from that time it is astounding that we healed and grew together again.

I didn't write the details of that time but I did refer to it, I wrote what it felt like. I expressed it the best way I could. It's important so that others won't feel so alone when it happens to them.

All of these words for a comment … forgive me … I am visiting from the #write31days challenge.

  2. I don't know why I blog because I'm a very private person and my husband is too. I try to keep him out of most of it, which is easy because my blog focuses on decor & design.

So cute. I like option #1 for the glasses.
