You know the times we are called to wait? I find those to be the hardest times for me.
It is my personality to want to control the situation; to see what God has set before me and go pursue it. Sometimes that just isn’t what we are called to do, though. There is so much power in waiting as you are called. God uses every second of the wait to teach, encourage, and prepare our hearts for what is to come.
When I see worldly solutions all around me, I must remember the call placed on my heart. Our situations are all different, but I know one thing: when He ordains a plan in your heart, following Him is the path to take. Why would I stray from what He has told me to go after something in a worldly way? The world doesn’t have my back. The world doesn’t have a perfect plan in my life. The Lord doesn’t place temptation in our path.
We serve a God who loves us unconditionally, more than we can even fathom.
I hate that I want to take control of things He has placed in my path. I wish I did not struggle so much with the wait. The wait is always the part I look back and delight in because the learning and refining is beautiful. My desire is to wait, pray, learn, and grow through the wait. He has plans that are so big, beautiful, and bright. He loves us–oh, how He loves us!
