Baby Gray had his first dentist visit yesterday.
We prepped a little the night before by checking out the office’s Facebook page and photos. By the time we got there, he was so excited about the waiting room alone that I didn’t know if I’d be able to get him to go see the dentist!
Luckily, our wait was just long enough for him to explore all his options. (Related: do not ask me to play Guitar Hero. Ever. Wow. Just wow.)
We went into the exam room they have set up for the “Little Gators” under three, and he was in love! It was the perfect change of scenery to keep him entertained for the rest of the visit. The actual exam was super short; he sat in my lap, laid back into the dentist’s lap. She did a great job being thorough but also aware of how much time she had to work before he got restless.
He came home with a new toothbrush, a mirror on a stick, and a bag full of prizes. I’d say it was a hit!
Going to the dentist is scary! Im glad you found a good and patient one. They make all the difference!!
So cool! My 2-year old went to the dentist recently and he did awesome too. I think it's super important to have a kid friendly atmosphere, what's not to enjoy then?
