If you’ve been hiding under a rock, you might be surprised to learn that I have a
little huge sweet tooth. In the words of Mal before surfacing from under the rock, “I just didn’t think I could trust your dessert choices.”
Lately, I’m in a terrible habit of whipping up some safe-to-eat cookie dough and enjoying. I’ve tried it with chocolate chips, broken up Hershey bars, and M&Ms. Personally, I like the distinctive flavor of the Hershey bars best.
In case you’d like to add this terrible habit to your life, I’ll share what I’ve been using for my recipe.
You will need:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/8 cup water (more or less as needed)
1/2 cup chocolate chips, M&Ms, or other mix-in
- Cream the butter and brown sugar together until smooth
- Add the vanilla
- Gradually add the flour until it is completely mixed
- Add water to adjust consistency of the dough
- Fold in the mix-in of choice
